ABC Floor Hardener is a concrete hardener composed of graded copper slags (quartz aggregates) and special chemical additives. It strengthens a concrete surface making it extremely resistant to abrasion while protecting it from gas, oil and chemical attacks. Its non-skid and anti-slip characteristics ensure safety and durability for concrete floors.

USES

Ideal for warehouse/factory flooring, car park, driving/loading ramp, garage, mechanical/power room, wet room & outdoor areas.

PROPERTIES

  • High abrasion resistance (high mechanical surface wear and tear)
  • Impact resistance (absorbs strong force or load without damaging concrete surface)
  • Absorption resistant to gas, oil, minerals, solvents & other chemicals
  • Skid & slip resistance (prevents slippery surfaces to ensure safety)
  • Stronger floor (ideal for industrial areas)
  • Ready to use (premixed formulation)
  • Fast & Easy (quick application)
  • Easy maintenance (concrete surface becomes easier to clean)

SURFACE PREPARATION
Ensure that proper concrete placement was followed in preparation of the floor slab. Use a metal trowel or a wooden float to smoothen and level the concrete mixture to achieve an even and dense surface. ABC Floor Hardener is applied on concrete surfaces in two stages.

How to use Floor Hardener

1. Broadcasting
Use a mason’s trowel to broadcast Floor Hardener evenly on to the surface area. The first broadcasting application should occur when concrete is damp and compact enough for aggregates to stay on top
and not to sink into the concrete mortar.

2. Application
Compact aggregates with a steel trowel and continuously apply the second broadcasting application when the substrate is similarly damp as in the first application. A rubber float will ensure that metal aggregates do not build up on the applied surface area.

2. Finishing
As soon as it hardens, use a steel trowel on applied area in sweeping circular motion to produce slight ridges for a perfect and non-slip finish.
