ZEMCOAT Water Resistant is a specially formulated skimcoat for super fine plastering applications. This specific Zemcoat variant not only smoothens minor unevenness (0.5-2mm) but also prevents the penetration of moisture, hence paint blistering is avoided. Ideal for application areas that need additional protection against rain or moisture, such as facade, bathroom, kitchen, firewall, etc.

Surface Preparation
Concrete surface must be cured, structurally stable, clean & free of paint and contaminants such as dirt, dust, loose material, oils, chemicals, etc.
Caution:For outdoors & during hot weather conditions (noon time or summer), wet substrate well to ensure proper bonding.

How to use Zemcoat Skimcoat – Water Resistant
1. Mixing

Pour water in a plastic pail and add Zemcoat Water Resistant. Mix 2 – 3 minutes to attain a smooth and lump-free consistency. Let mixture rest for 15 minutes. Mix again briefly before use. (NEVER mix old batch with new batch.)
Tagalog: Maglagay ng tubig sa timba at ilagay ang Zemcoat Water Resistant. Haluin sa loob ng 2 – 3 minuto upang masigurado ang magandang resulta ng halo. Hayaan ng 15 minuto at haluin muli bago gamitin. (Huwag paghaluin ang luma at bagong gawang halo.)

2. Application
While the surface is still damp, apply Zemcoat Water Resistant to desired application thickness (0.5-2mm) using a steel trowel. Zemcoat Water Resistant has set when the finish looks matte. To further smoothen minor surface unevenness before painting, sprinkle a small amount of water before the surface is about to set, then smoothen to desired finish using a
rubber float. (Setting Time: 30 minutes) (Dampen concrete surface before Zemcoat application.)
Tagalog: Habang bahagyang basa ang kongkreto, ipahid ang Zemcoat Water Resistant ayon sa kapal na 2 – 5mm gamit ang rodelang bakal. (Basain ang kongkreto bago magpahid ng Zemcoat.)
- When using Zemcoat variants with the same color, apply Water Resistant just before Original is about to set.
- When using Zemcoat variants with different colors, apply Water Resistant only after Original has already set.
3. Finishing
Zemcoat Water Resistant must receive further finishing as protection (e.g. paint, wall paper, concrete sealer, etc.).
Let it cure for 3 – 5 days prior to further finishing. (Cure 3 – 5 days)
Tagalog: Ang Zemcoat Original ay nangangailangan ng finishing (pintura, wall paper, render, concrete sealer atbp.) nang hindi bababa sa 3 – 5 araw bago lagyan ng finishing. (Cure 3 – 5 days)

CLEANING / SAFETY / STORAGE / SHELF LIFE
Use clean water to remove excess Zemcoat on tools before it hardens. Non-toxic. Do not swallow or ingest. As with any cementitious material, avoid eye exposure and prolonged skin contact. In case of irritation, rinse with sufficient water. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor. Store in a cool dry place. In its original packaging, Zemcoat Water Resistant will remain usable for a period of one year from date of manufacture.
